ECUC Small Credit Union Fund Terms & Conditions  

Purpose and Mission of the Fund

Donations to the ECUC Small Credit Union Fund will provide financial assistance to small credit unions wishing to attend the ECUC national conference of education credit unions, providing access to leadership education and networking to strengthen and advance the growth of their organization. Eligible credit unions are those with assets less than $100 million as of Oct 2024.


Donation Process

Donations are accepted by individuals, corporations, and other entities who support the purpose and mission of the ECUC Small Credit Union Fund. Donors may make contributions through our official website, via check, or through other authorized methods as specified. All donations must be accompanied by the donor's contact information for acknowledgment purposes. All donations will be acknowledged with receipt.


Gift Disbursements to Small Credit Unions

One-Time Donations are added to the general fund to be awarded to small credit unions.  The gift is a conference registration for the next ECUC conference at the value of $1,295 which may be used by CEO, volunteers or staff.  Gifts are granted by lottery drawing.  Maximum allowed is one conference registration per credit union every other year.  Credit Unions must be an ECUC active member as of September and assets less than $100 million as of October.  Applicants will be notified within 60 days of the event.  Gifts have no monetary value, cannot be used as credit or carried over to future events.  Attendees receiving gifts are obligated to attend the conference and stay in ECUC hotel room block for minimum of three nights.  In the event of last minute uncontrollable circumstances such as weather or sickness ECUC will not require any refund for the attendee to cancel the conference registration.  Attendees are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses.  Guest registration can added for an additional fee. 


Sponsor a Credit Union Gifts

Donors may Sponsor a Small Credit Union to attend the upcoming conference.  The conference gift code will be provided to the small credit union prior to conference registration.  Small credit union need not be an ECUC member.  


Non-Refundable Contributions

All donations are considered final and non-refundable.


Tax Deductibility

As a 501(c)(6) organization, donations are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, they may be deductible as ordinary business expenses. Donors are encouraged to consult their tax advisor for specific guidance.


Privacy Policy

Donor information will be kept confidential and will not be shared with third parties. Donors may elect to be included in our list of donors.


Changes to Terms

The ECUC Small Credit Union Fund reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to donors via the contact information provided.
